[THE FIRST JOURNAL OF THE OBBD SKIRMISH - TEMBURONG HAS BEEN UNCOVERED. IT HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE CAS ARCHIVE VAULTS (link is broken please follow http://tylerpadfoot-cas.blogspot.com).]
It has been a lovely day.
No kidding. Keychain Walkman has brought so much life into my between-lessons and lunch periods i feel so much more bubbly now that i can listen to Oasis and like uhh Love Hina while walking down the corridors to lessons. Or from.
=)
The days at the Fort has grown into me. I soon am getting used to the shifts, the bells and my assigned posts.
However, the off-duty hours are getting swarmed with overtime duties and lots of Intelligence Gathering. It is getting harder as each day is born and dies, and i wonder to myself if i have enough strength to carry on down this path of the Elite Guard.
We had badminton yesterday! it was really fun. Whacking the feathery thing around. nothing beats that. Except "fishing" obviously. I love fishing. Especially when u catch one.
Special post to Yesmean, whose birthday just came and left yesterday, the 29th of August 2008 A.D.
HAPPPPPPPPPPPYY (belated) BIRTHDAY YESMEAN!!
I must say, i am pretty gonked by the fact she spent her birthday out on a netball court (some sort of competition). she did say she was in love with sports therefore i believe she didn't mind abit. Though, i personally would have wanted to stick around with my friends. Well maybe iwont, it would be mightily embarrassing wont it? them doing funny stuff to you and all. Not that it has happend to ME
never once has my FRIENDS thrown me a surprise party. HUH. HUUH not that i want one (zomg that would be terrible) but it kinda shows how affectionate your friends are.
Yeszie told me how her friends had thrown her one, once. Congratz, you know? Your friends are that affectionate to do something special for you. How well they did it, of course, matters very little and is not entirely relevant to the fact above.
One a picture for the special one. =) i wish i din get such an emo one haha.
Happy birthday Yesmean <3
More journals to come, as soon as my off-duty missions are accomplished. I sincerely apologize for the delay of this journal.

A newly discovered journal that is believed to contain the Great Journey of the Padfutonian through the rainforests of Temburong is currently being deciphered. It should be released as at of tomorrow, the 26th sun of the 8th moon.
Journal 25-08.
It has been a wonderful day at the fort. Although we were exhausted from the Great Journey, we had little choice but to return to our posts behind the walls.
As at of this day, I was assigned to work starting from the second shift onwards. Therefore, I have free times during the first shift. I took the opportunity to speak to my fellow legionnaire Hui Yen, who is infact one of the nicest person I've met. We talked through till the 0845 bell about interestingly interesting stuff, such as and ongoing "duel" between an ISB legionnaire and a SAS legionnaire. =) i hope you're reading this, Mo.
The next shift i was assigned to learn their languages. It was familiar to me, English, but it was nothing i had expected.
The poems, the literature, no comprehension, no composition, no grammar, just literature. They were IMPOSSIBLE, simply IMPOSSIBLE to understand. I cannot understand the poems at all, they wrote in a language i REFUSE to classify as English. I believe english will be one of the greatest challenges for me in this Fort.
Ah, but the next shift. It was simply wonderfull! I took Music as an Arts course, and the first thing my music instructor told us to do was to compose a piece from a set of simple chords. Was that my thing! i had so much fun i was quite disappointed at the ringing of the bells.
After lunch, that came mathematics.
For those back at Fort SAS! Believe this! the Math (higher Level) they do in IB - Its 95% identical to O'level Additional Mathematics! I've checked the whole WHOLE textbook! There's only 2 topics we haven't learnt. Everything else is repeated. So those legionnaires from SAS who are intending to transfer to Fort ISB, pay attention to SAS AMATH classes and you'll breeze through here like drinking from a bottle. =)
There isn't much left to be written on this journal. Soon my journals, i promise, will consist no more of the jobs i do, but more of my personal life. Till then, thanks friends.
A little ps.
I'm rapidly losing interest in the legionnaire i've been noticing. She just ignores me, for reasons unknown. I know she knows me, I know she would talk to me if she wanted to. But she doesnt. I'm not happy one bit, its these kind of people im not too fond of. I really dislike those who pretend i don't exist.
She would have been a great friend too.
It's probably awkward to say this but i have to thank Ann Lee, Hui Yen, Amirah, Nyssa and a handfull of others who helped make my transition easier than it would originally have been. Notice they're all girls. 0.o Hmm........... I won't know why.
Fort ISB, its becoming a colder place than it would seem.. Till the rise of the next sun, I put my quill down.

Today was another day at the fort, we were briefed further on our training and there was nothing much interesting going on.
Although, as required by the Commanders of the Fort, a new archive section will be constructed to house a new journal that will be required to keep.
There was a choice between handwriting a journal that will be kept in person, or a more modern archiving technique the Elite Guard like to call CAS-Blog. Therefore I have chosen the Blog Technique.
Tomorrow we will be off to a Medium Scale Skirmish mission to the Marshes of Temburong. We will be there for a period of 3 years, and are expected to return on the 5th month of the 3rd year. This was initially established to integrate teamwork and phalanxing skills to the Elite Guard.
There will be no forms of communications allowed during then, the only communications systems will be in the office of the Outpost we are headed to. Therefore, i may not recieve any letters, or such.
It will be an educational and interesting skirmish, with all the new great warriors i've met.
There is actually this one legionnaire I'm hoping to get to know more of.. =D hey hey hey, typical Padfoot, right? Can't stay away from the good ones.
It was about 1330 hours. I was alone in the corridors, and using that time alone, i thought to myself about home, and the life here in this grand fort.
The fort is grand, and large, and the warriors were all very great, the fishes as large as sharks.
But, i thought to myself, as i looked out into the Great Plains, this was nothing like home, and probably will never be home.
I miss our useless phalanxes and our little tadpoles. I really do.
This fort, i suppose, will never gain such approval from me. Perhaps it needs time? Perhaps. It has, been only, my second day, after all.
May Fort SAS stand strong always! We may never meet again.

The war was long, tedious, and very little time to prepare for it. We trained overtime, fashioned crude weaponry and salvaged whatever arrows and armour we could from the last battle.
As the enemy drew closer to our walls, fear and calamity broke out and gripped our hearts, but we knew it was not the time to fall prey to such psychological attacks. We stood fast, held the line and gripped our spears with cold hands.
There were only a few of us, so the possibility of a Total Victory was very slim, perhaps about 9%.
But we fought, nevertheless.
And fight we did. I survived the battle with no scratches out of 8 hits, i defended 8 attacks perfectly, and a perfect counter to 5 of them. 2 warriors came up to me and slashed at me, but i dodged them both with average skill and managed to subdue them. However, due to that intense fighting, i failed to see an archer to my east, and thus i barely dodged an arrow that was fired towards me, thus i did not manage to counter it well. I survived without scath, but that was all i could do, survive.
The warrior who managed to kill all her 8 enemies was the legendary Elite Guard of the O's, Jasmine Yeo. She pulled off 6 perfect kills and 2 average ones. No room for error goes for that fine warrior.
She has been called to a distant land to fight another greater war.
Summary for those who don't like fancy writing. 5a's, 2b's and a c. c's malay and 2 b's are poa and chem.
Jasmine seems to top Brunei again with a whopping 6as and 2bs. Congrats to that lady!

...continued from previous post.
Lumbering on clumsily with my heavy armour, tower shield and broadsword, i neared the fort as every second came and passed.
After what seemed like 2 whole days of wandering endlessly through a dead plain, I reached the banner carrier of the main phalanx. He lifted his banner, waved it twice and immediately an ominous black knight rumbled towards us.
I did what i knew i had to do. As he drew he sword, I hastily whipped out a long golden scroll holster and handed it to him.
As if expecting it, he took it immediately and looked through its contents.
And ordered me to be brought into the fort. About 6 other foreign warriors had the same fate.
It seemed as if we were just on time; the phalanx closed in on either side of us, and as soon as we entered through the titanic 10 metre thick steel gates, the entire phalanx created an impenetratable wall of shield and spear.
I have heard many stories about the fort, and its splendeur and grandeur, but of course as many legionnaires would say, they would all like to see it for themselves. Heard also about the very fine warriors found within its walls, indeed, i became quite eager to meet some of them, and perhaps even be offered a place in their legions.
My first impression of the great fort was based upon its infrastructure and walls.
Clearly there were signs that showed that this fort was built in ancient times, yet with defenses modern enough to force me to believe that this fort had been constantly repaired and countless additions were made to ensure the survival of its people.
I was led through its fine walkpaths and several heavily defended gates and was soon brought to their townsquare.
Several legions were already present, but there was a distinct difference in their rank. One flank wore light - looking armour, carrying small swords and small shields. They looked uniform and looked like the lowest rank of the fort's army.
The next flank wore heavy armour which was uniform as well, but carried large tower shields, and were armed with both broadswords and immensely long spears. They looked as if they were one of the highest ranks in the army.
Then there was one flank that wore impressively unique armour, with weapons and shields totally different from each other. I learnt later that they were called the International Baccaluareate Elite Guard, and that they were the highest non-commander ranks in the whole of the fort. It was that very flank i had applied to, and was accepted.
We start training next week.
HAHA> wooh, talk about RANDOM. I thought it'd be an interesting alternative to than reading my rumbles of how i went and all. so i hope you guys get it!
I've met MANY people today! Lets see if i can remember them.
Roslee - he's not in my year, though. haha year 13 Adam - he's in my tutor group! a tutor group is like uh... like the class your form teacher handles. also the only guy other than me in the group.
funfact! (there is only an average of 7 students in each tutor group! compare that with our whopping 40+ students) talk about personal interaction.
Ann Lee - a girl from my tutor group. Very nice person! She showed me around, seems pretty talkative with the teacher and ... short? overall nice person.
Ah, Ms. Tracy. - a mandarin teacher who is our tutor group "commander". She's half korean and half taiwanese. Seems nice, though too early for any proper descriptions!
hui min. - is that the spelling? In thy tutor group. She taught me how to read my time table. it was of a very interesting format, frankly speaking....
uhmm .. jia min, i think, or ming - also from my tutor group. Seems quiet, or so, just towards me. I haven't reallyyy spoken to her yet. Haha.
Now, there was one more.. i cant remember her name... Jean, was it jean? - yea i think so. tutor group. not much to say we din talk much.
william - i remember him because i forgot his name twice in the same morning. interesting fellow. Call 'em will, sez he.
Yesmean - just met her in the library during a OBBD briefing. a very very nice person =)
MAN!! i forgot this name too, and it was learnt BEFORE I LEFT FOR HOME!! Jennifer? uhmm jean? no its not jean! T_T ANYWAYS it was Amelia Lau's friend, of whom i talked to and was a pretty nice person too.
Man, i tell you, almost everyone there seems nice. Dodgy huh? =\
i met a few others, whom of i already know, so i will not mention them here.
INSPIRATIONAL, SENSATIONAL, BOLD. is that right? ISB.yeap. A far cry from SAS, everything included, but of course, what can i say? for the better or for the worse? its up to you to decide.
Now and forever.
"forever" SAS right? But the "now and" goes to ISB.
Thank you, SAS. Here i come, ISB!
Take arms men! We take flight, at dawn.

As this day nears to its death, a new day will be born, craddling in its arms the end of my long, perilious and treacherous journey from one fortress of scholars to another.
Literally speaking, as tommorrow dies, so does my holidays.
You guys out there must be thinking, wtf is with this idiot and his freaking holiday and school? Has he really turned to a wooden clock that spits out a noisy, ugly-looking wooden-feathered creature with wings every hour?
Excitement, friends.
I'm pleased to announce that I have been accepted to ISB! =.= voice heard in the corner - (i thought he was accepted ever since he started blurting about his new school)
Nope, lol, just met Mr. Toomer who was a pretty nice man, and called me back the same day of my "interview" with the good news.
LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW LIKE WOW
kay time for some kickass shittedupped language.
It draws nearer, the stone grey walls that towered over the horizon. Hundreds of torches illuminated the wall sections, and thousands of armed cannons stood at their readies, speckling the wall in a ominous fashion.
One lone warrior, I stumble across the great plains towards the fort. My journey has been long and perilious, meeting challenges, and other warriors along the way. I fought through countless challenges to safeguard my sanity and survived, needless to say, however weak from the days of lonesomeness.
Now i stand here, only two days of a walk from here to the dark structure in the distance, a straight journey through the plains and several droughted streams that cut through the terrain.
I glanced around. Several unfamiliar specks of other travellers near the structure too. They were moving ever so slowly, as if they were not moving at all. Was this how we all looked to that great fort?
Several flares shot up from the fort, as if in slow motion. I just realized how far we still were from the fort, however near it may have seemed. One came in our direction and illuminated the lands on which we tread.
Even in the distance, I could make out one distinct movement that could either mean death, or survival. The gates, the titanic, black steel gates began to open ever so slowly.
As soon as a crack had appeared, out swarmed legions of warriors who immediately formed a massive phalanx. Were they to kill us, or to help us in?
We will soon find out.
The hard way.
..... to be continued.

This is the month in which a whole new life begins.
Am i excited? - perhaps.
Aren't you nervous? - Should I be?
Do you think you will miss your friends, classmates of old? - most definitely. But all good things come to an end, so i guess it's time to move on.
What are you expecting of the people you will meet there? - I'm not the optimistic type, neither am i pessimistic. They will definitely be a long way off from the familiar personalities at St. Andrew's.
Indeed, topics of conversation will indeed be very different, perhaps even alien, rules of engagement will be rewritten totally, holds of stances must be altered to cope with foreign grounds.
Classrooms are no longer going to be the fort of you and your friends. Home room system.
Put it simply, this is going to be one hell of a month. I can feel it coming for me. With bloodshot eyes and bloodied arms and cracked fingernails, ISB comes towards me from miles away, but encloses the distance at a breakneck speed.
Am I honestly, truly ready for this task ahead of me?
My personal relations skills is simply not cut enough to provide me enough shelter and time to settle down.
A whole new school, a whole new course, a whole new system, a whole new troop of schoolmates, a whole new platoon of teachers.
Man. I'm not ready for this.
Ah, but even in the deepest darkest of the dark, hope still lies in that little glimpse of light shining like an angelic beacon, far off to the horizon where the endless skies meet the demanding seas.
I can only hope that whomever i may meet will give me my much desired shelters.
The road to the great Civilization of ISB is long and perilous, but the true moment of accomplishment can only be earned deep within its walls.
Now, lets spread those wings, shall we?
