I peeked around the corner. There was no one there.
Turning around, i signalled to John and waved him into the street. As he ran i covered his rear, making sure no one gets a back stab shot of him as he cleared the streets. I glanced at team Alpha 2, they were sprinting towards the building too. It was hard to see, with all the brown dust and debris flying all over the Middle Eastern town.
Suddenly a loud crack rang out, and instantly i flew into an open door to my right.
"Sniper!" shouted my captain. I called in a UAV immediately. The enemy no doubt will be more wary as soon as they detect my UAV being airborne, but atleast we can locate the snipers and take them down as soon as possible.
My radar blinked and i saw 2 red dots on the far end of the street.
Without hesitating, i whipped out my R700 sniper rifle and looked down the scope. Checking my radar consistently, i located a shifting bush and after confirming it with my radar, I pulled the trigger.
CRACK.
A split second before i dove behind the wall once more i saw a body fall sideways out of the bush.
"Sniper down." I spoke into my radio.
"Roger that." replied my captain. He signalled us and we continued moving towards the building.
We decided to sprint. As we were sprinting I hid my sniper rifle inside a bush and pulled out my M4 rifle.
This carbine model was a great weapon to use from medium to long range, and with its silencer, i could easily take down enemies without revealing my position.
CRACK.
A sharp pain went up my right arm and i instantly whipped in that direction. An Ak-47, aimed right at me at about 10 metres away, i dove onto the floor, effectively dodging another bullet he sent flying at me.
With other gunfires pounding in my ears, i realized my teammates were locked in their own battles. With no time to lose, i looked down my Iron Sights and pulled 2 fast triggers.
Down went the enemy. The room went silent.
"Sector clear." said my radio. I stood up and rubbed my arm.
So was the insight on the game COD4 - modern warfare. It is an impressive game when played multiplayer, easily surpassing Counter Strike and Battlefield 1, or 2, combined or alone.
Hardcore mode is a mode where there is no Crosshair, no radar, no bullet information, just a screen and your gun. You die in less that 2 shots, and must rely on your hearing, sights and judgement alone.
Military tactics can be effectively used in the game, but might require well trained teammates and might prove difficult against fearless "samsengs" who just burst in spraying their guns everywhere.
noobs.
Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare. Its a game that is taking over the world. Has even risen to the ranks of DotA.
